Our Company History
Statewide Monitoring was founded in 1981 by Steven J. Coppola and started its operations as a family owned monitoring service above a small group of storefronts on Bradley Avenue in Staten Island, NY.
Son, Steven M. Coppola & daughter Pamela Coppola-Columbia join the family business to help with the increase in demand of monitoring services by the local dealers and the community.
With inspiration and encouragement from their father, Steven and Pamela Coppola purchased the central station to expand their monitoring reach and satisfy the growth of the company.
Immediately after the purchase of the central station, Statewide Monitoring partnered with DICE Technology to upgrade the monitoring operation of the central station.
After the partnership with Dice Statewide Monitoring moved its headquarters to a larger location on Victory Boulevard in Staten Island, NY.
The central station became one of a select few central stations in the entire country to be approved by the FDNY to handle commercial fire alarms within the city of New York.
The Central Station acquired licensing in states where central stations must be licensed to monitor alarms.
Statewide Central Station experienced phenomenal growth and decided to upscale the headquarters into a custom-designed, tech-driven modern facility known as Corporate Commons on 1 Teleport Dr. Suite 202, Staten Island, NY.
Statewide employs over 100 staff members, has 30 operator stations (with room for more!) in an office area of 9,000 sq. ft, has an account base that has grown by more than 800 percent, is a TMA Five–Diamond Certified central station monitoring all emergency conditions throughout the United States and Caribbean islands, and has established a reputation for excellence in customer service, expertise in the industry, and cutting-edge technology.
